Advent and Christmas

Our Advent and Christmas services will be a little different this year as we've adapted to COVID safety requirements. Nonetheless, we look forward to celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ with hope, joy, and wonder.

There is something for everyone at St Barnabas, from the opportunity to hear favourite carols in the beautiful candlelit atmosphere of the church, to an imaginative online Christmas pageant for families and kids. Our Midnight Mass and Christmas Day Family Mass are now, sadly, fully booked. However, each service’s LIVESTREAM will be posted on this page. Details with each service below.

Aired on Monday 21 December

Virtual Christmas Pageant

Aired on Thursday 24 December.

Join Mary, Jospeh, the shepherds and the angels all from the comfort of your sofa! This virtual Christmas pageant retells the famous story of Jesus' birth in a fun and interactive way.  Use simple household items (dish cloths, gowns, paper crowns etc...) to dress the kids (and the young at heart!) as the favourite character from the nativity. Here is the Zoom link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82218181434?pwd=ci85b2ZPN2c2WndGKytveDc1Z3lxUT09

PLUS - invite grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends - anyone you are missing this Christmas! - We’ll be sharing surprise messages to loved-ones, “Love Actually” style, at the end of the pageant. Send your short special message to fionajack@barnabites.net by the 23rd December.
