"But I am among you as the one who serves." Luke 22:27
Christianity is much more than a set of religious beliefs. It is a way of life.
As we follow the way of Jesus, we discover that we are called "not to be served but to serve". Many Christians insist that in serving one another we feel unusually whole, complete and fulfilled in life. Through self-giving we encounter the Holy and are perhaps most united to Christ.
Service is a core strand of our common life at St Barnabas and we would welcome you alongside us in this work. In particular we feel called to:
- care for each other
- serve our local community through Christ-centred hospitality
- play our part as active and informed citizens both locally and globally
